Your Choice. Your Control.

Overview

Pure Home Pest respects your privacy and provides this page to help individuals exercise privacy choices that may be available under applicable state privacy laws. Depending on where you live and how applicable law defines the terms "sell" and "share," you may have the right to request that a business not sell your personal information or share it for certain advertising purposes.

Pure Home Pest is a pest control directory and referral service. We help connect users with independent pest control providers serving their area. Some information may need to be provided to or made available to participating providers in order to respond to a service request or connect a caller with appropriate local help.

What "Sell" or "Share" May Mean

Privacy laws may define the terms "sell" and "share" more broadly than their everyday meanings. A "sale" of personal information doesn't always require money to change hands; depending on applicable law, certain transfers of personal information to another business in exchange for value or another benefit may potentially be considered a sale. "Sharing" may include certain disclosures of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or similar advertising purposes. Whether a particular activity qualifies as selling or sharing depends on the applicable law and the circumstances involved.

Information That May Be Involved

Depending on how you use Pure Home Pest, information associated with your interaction may include contact and device details like your telephone number, IP address, and device or browser information; location details like your approximate geographic location or city, state, or ZIP code; how you use the Site, like the pest control service requested, pages viewed, referral source, and advertising or campaign information; and call information like the call source, routing, date, time, and duration, along with anything else you voluntarily provide when requesting service. Not every visitor provides or generates every category of information listed here.

Information Used to Connect You With Providers

When you request pest control assistance, certain information may need to be communicated to a provider so they can respond, for example:

Your telephone number.

Your general location.

The pest problem or service you're seeking.

Information you voluntarily provide during the call.

Sharing information to fulfill your request and connect you with a provider may be treated differently from selling or sharing information for advertising purposes under applicable privacy laws. Submitting an opt-out request doesn't necessarily prevent us from using or disclosing information that's reasonably necessary to provide a service you requested.

Your Right to Opt Out

If applicable law gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, you may submit a request asking Pure Home Pest not to engage in those activities with personal information associated with you. You don't need to create an account to submit an opt-out request, and we'll process qualifying requests in accordance with applicable law.

How to Submit an Opt-Out Request

Because Pure Home Pest doesn't use online forms or email capture, the way to submit a privacy request is to call us directly at (844) 924-1337. To help us locate information associated with you, we may ask for limited details like your telephone number, an email address if you've previously provided one, your state of residence, or other information reasonably necessary to identify the records tied to your request. Please provide only what's necessary to process the request; we won't ask for sensitive personal information unrelated to verifying or handling it.

What Happens After You Submit a Request

After receiving an opt-out request, we may review the information provided to determine whether the request falls within an applicable privacy law, whether we can reasonably identify information associated with the requester, whether additional information is necessary to process it, or whether an exception permitted by law applies. Where required, we'll take reasonable steps to honor a valid request within the timeframe established by applicable law.

Some privacy requests may require verification before they can be completed, and the level of verification may depend on the nature of the request. For an opt-out request specifically, applicable law may allow us to process it without the same level of identity verification required for an access or deletion request, though we may still ask for enough information to reasonably identify the individual or browser involved.

Authorized Agents

Where permitted by applicable law, you may authorize another person or organization to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require information reasonably necessary to confirm that the authorized agent has permission to act for you, and we may also contact you directly, where allowed or required, to confirm the request.

Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and browser extensions support privacy preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where applicable law requires recognition of a qualifying opt-out preference signal, Pure Home Pest makes reasonable efforts to process supported signals in accordance with applicable requirements. A browser-based preference signal generally applies to the browser or device that sent it and may not identify other information associated with you, such as a telephone number provided during a call.

Cookies and Advertising Technologies

Pure Home Pest may use cookies, analytics technologies, advertising technologies, or similar tools to understand website activity, measure marketing performance, and improve our services. Depending on the technology used and applicable privacy law, certain disclosures of information through advertising technologies may potentially be considered selling or sharing. Where required, users are provided with choices regarding these technologies; browser settings, cookie controls, and qualifying privacy preference signals may also offer additional ways to manage certain types of tracking.

Call Tracking and Referral Information

Telephone numbers displayed on Pure Home Pest may use call tracking or routing technology, which may process information such as the caller's telephone number, call time and duration, referral source, campaign information, service location, and routing information. This information may be used to connect callers with providers, operate our referral system, understand service demand, measure performance, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity. An opt-out request doesn't prevent processing that's reasonably necessary to complete a service you requested or to maintain the security and operation of the service.

Service Providers and Contractors

Pure Home Pest may use third-party businesses to help operate its website and referral service, including companies providing website hosting, call routing and tracking, analytics, security, cloud infrastructure, website maintenance, or marketing measurement. Information disclosed to a company acting as a service provider or contractor under applicable privacy law may not be considered a sale or sharing when the information is used only for permitted business purposes and appropriate contractual restrictions apply.

Independent Pest Control Providers

Pest control companies to whom users may be connected are independent businesses. When you choose to communicate with an independent provider, information provided directly to that provider may be handled under the provider's own privacy practices. Pure Home Pest doesn't control how an independent provider handles information after they receive it to respond to your service request, and we encourage users to review a provider's privacy practices when appropriate.

Information We May Continue to Use

Submitting an opt-out request doesn't require us to stop every use of personal information. We may continue to use or disclose information when reasonably necessary to provide a service you requested, connect you with a pest control provider, process and route calls, maintain website functionality, protect against fraud or misuse, maintain security, debug technical problems, comply with legal obligations, maintain appropriate business records, exercise or defend legal rights, or perform other activities permitted by applicable privacy law.

No Discrimination for Exercising Privacy Rights

Where prohibited by applicable law, Pure Home Pest will not discriminate against you because you exercised an applicable privacy right. For example, exercising a privacy right won't by itself result in unlawful denial of service or unlawful differential treatment, though certain differences may still be permitted when they're reasonably related to the information required to provide a requested service.

Other Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights concerning personal information, which can include the right to request access to certain personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain personal information, information about the categories of personal information collected or the categories of third parties receiving it, a portable copy of certain information, limitation of certain uses of sensitive personal information, or an appeal of certain privacy request decisions. The availability and scope of these rights varies by state. For more on how Pure Home Pest handles personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.

Requests From Residents of Different States

Privacy rights vary across the United States. Some states provide specific rights to opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information, while other states may not provide the same rights. Pure Home Pest may evaluate a request based on the law applicable to the individual's state of residence, and we may also choose to honor certain privacy preferences more broadly when operationally reasonable.

Retention of Opt-Out Requests

We may maintain records of privacy requests and the actions taken in response for a reasonable period, to demonstrate compliance, avoid asking users to repeat requests unnecessarily, maintain privacy preferences, resolve questions or disputes, and comply with applicable legal requirements. Information retained for these purposes is handled in accordance with our privacy practices.

Changes to This Page

We may update this page periodically to reflect changes in applicable privacy laws, technologies, business practices, or the way Pure Home Pest handles personal information. When changes are made, the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
